Myanmar’s media, which has repeatedly broadcast footage of generals reassuring refugees calmly sitting in clean tents, announced Friday that the death toll from Cyclone Nargis had nearly doubled to 78,000 with about 56,000 missing.
In the meantime CNN obtains the video in which the survivor said she walked a trail dotted by dead bodies to get to safety, passing a group of about 1,000 homeless people who slept on the streets.
One survivor reports Trees fall over people,” the survivor said. “There are many dead bodies lying under trees. Yes, all people I saw are crying too much and searching for bodies of loved ones. There is bad smell from dead bodies on the way we came from, according to media reports.

Why is good customer service important in helping you to be able to collect debt?
Primarily the collector’s mindset should be focused on that of the debtor.
Meaning, by the time the debtors account reaches collection, the debtor has been hounded by collectors attempting to reach them at either their residence or place of employment.
The debtors all ready in a defensive state of mind which ultimately leads to an avoidance of calls and a negative outlook on the entire situation. Most debtors are not bad people they are just normal people caught in a particularly rough situation.
Understanding this, good customer service is the essential to securing repayment of the debt. You may still have to do some arm twisting but in a helpful, constructive, and positive way.
Good customer service consists genuinely of careful LISTENING to the debtors hard-luck. story. This is critical in order to gain the confidence of the person in debt. A seasoned bill collector will take into consideration the debtors monthly expenses versus income as well as thoroughly reviewing a debtors credit profile.
Once a debtor feels comfortable and a good rapport is achieved, then setting terms for repayment, with the least bit of debtor rejection can be accomplished.
At the beginning of any typical collection call, the collector is met with the uttermost resistance. You have to turn the negative into a positive. A simple way to address the debtor such as with a warm “Good morning Mr. _____” being conscientious of voice inflection always works like a charm.
Because the debt being in collection is such a sensitive matter for the debtor, if the wrong approach is taken such as an abrasive or tough to deal with attitude not only will the debtor not pay on the debt, the debtor can resort to filing a complaint with the company itself or the BBB which can ultimately lead to a lawsuit.
Good customer service in any industry proves professionalism to the highest standards. A strong work ethic separates the unsuccessful from the very successful.
In the early 80’s the collection industry in general used a “beat them up” tactic during the process of collecting on the debts. Because of all the lawsuits that were filed, the attorney general’s offices around the states began to fine certain shops and close down collection agencies.
This led to an overall different approach in the industry, forcing collection agencies into stricter compliance. Stricter compliance to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act was now in effect throughout the entire collections industry.
This proves that using excellent customer service when securing any debt is not only the most efficient way of collecting the debt, it is also the law. As a bill collector, you must treat your debtor with respect avoiding harassment at all times. This will ensure professionalism on behalf of the collector and the collection agencies reputation will go unharmed.
The golden rule here is to always treat others as you would like to be treated. This will carry you on to success not only in your business matters but in everything you set out to accomplish in life.

The hot and cold items vary daily which ensures that food arrives to the table fresh and always looking great. Here are some items: -Hearts of Palm -Grilled Plantains -Prosciutto di Parma The place is absolutely charming, when we are ready for meat service, the “gaucho waiters” dressed as Brazilian cowboys in their gaucho outfit: baggy pants, poncho, a facón (large knife), & rebenque (whip), arrive on the scene rotating sizzling skewers and carts to our table, slicing each item individually for us. They will bring us a choice of over 17 scrumptious meats to our table, talk about satisfaction.. It is really all about the taste, the flavor is what kicks off the spree. I’m a pretty big guy and I admit I didn’t get this way by being a wimp when it came down to eating.. A royal inheritance awaits, check out the incredible selection of available meats: -Grilled Shrimp -Leg of Lamb -Rack of Lamb
Other Restaurants Build Down to Price, Where as Gol! Builds Up to Quality The flow of people in the restaurant , the sound, the laughter, the classic feeling you get is all about devouring as much meat as you can humanly devour.. The lights are beautifully set to give you the impression that tonight is your night. Comparing the chewiness of sirloin against the garlic laced chunks of tenderloin or a crusty end of bottom round against a well-marbled slice of New York strip will have your eyes shining like silver dollars.. The beef is perfectly salted for dynamite flavor that send you licking your lips after every single bite. The ultimate focus is on the lip-smacking tastes and unforgettable textures of a slice of the grilled New York strip, medium rare, vs. a chunk of fillet mignon wrapped in bacon. As a meat lover, it is delighting to compare the different cuts of meat. Then again, the fat pink shrimp grilling in their shells, nicely bronzed little chicken legs or a couple of tender baby lamb chops will leave you drooling tremendously. For desert, (please remember that in Brazil it is extremely rude to say how stuffed you are), there is a ridiculously rich chocolate mousse cake, that’s so gooey, it sticks to you mouth like peanut butter. After your meal, you can enjoy a signature cocktail at Gol!’s historic, wood-paneled 73-year-old bar, where the likes of Winston Churchill and Edna St. Vincent Millay held court. You will feel like a princess while secretly planning your next visit.. No wonder why ABC-TV made Gol! The Taste of Brazil their selection as the “Best Steakhouse in Palm Beach County.” Gol! Taste of Brazil won the Wine Spectator’s Award for Excellence.
